The principal purpose of Wolfeboro Bay Sailing shall be to further the sport of sailing and to promote racing and cruising for pure enjoyment.

We are looking for any interested participants, whether you have a boat or not. It's a great way to get out on the water - skipper your own boat, crew, or be on the race committee. Our events are for boats 17 feet in length or longer. Contact us

Race Rescheduled! This Sunday !

Wolfeboro Bay Sailing
Island Pursuit Race
Sunday, August 29 2:00PM

  • This is a self-starting, staggered start event, the handicap is applied at the start. Each boat is responsible for getting themselves across the starting line at the proper time.
  • Remember to synchronize your watch with US Naval Observatory Master Clock Time http://tycho.usno.navy.mil/simpletime.html
  • Ensigns will start at 2:00.
  • The Daysailor starts 2 minutes 42 seconds later, the Quickstep 24 and Cal 22 go 18 seconds after that....
  • Sail to Parker Island, then to Ship Island (leave both to port)
  • Remember to honor all government marks.
  • First boat across the line wins, second boat gets second place, and third boat....

For updates on the weather, check out the "Links" on our website www.wolfesail.org. A weather call will be made by 11:00 Sunday morning. If, at that time it is clear that we need to cancel due to weather, then it will be posted on the website, a message left at the WCYC phone 569-1234, and a text message sent to the phone numbers that we have on file for skippers. Otherwise we will plan on sailing.

Remember - The decision to sail is the responsibility of each skipper.

If your boat is not on the list, let me know and we can add you in! If you have other questions, drop me a line or give a call.

Look forward to seeing you out there on the water!
